DEIF AGC-4 Mk II Generator Set Automatic Controller
Automatic Genset Controller AGC-4 Mk II
The automatic genset controller AGC-4 Mk II can be used as a single genset controller.
In addition, multiple AGCs can be connected in a complete power management system for synchronizing projects, islanding or paralleling to a power source.
Ideally suited for mission-critical applications such as hospitals and data centers, the generator controller is capable of providing standby power in as little as 6 seconds.
Power management for up to 992 generator sets
Implementing the AGC-4 Mk II controller gives you a variety of options. With core power management, you can run up to 32 gensets.
If you need more than 32 gensets, Extended Power Management allows you to www.ge-drive.com group generators and reach up to 32 mains or 32 groups and 992 gensets.
Extensive Engine Control for Tier 4/Stage V Compliance
The AGC-4 Mk II supports many popular engine protocols, with more added with each software update.
The controller meets Tier 4 Final/Stage V emissions requirements.
AGC-4 MK II
Supports Global Grid Norms
The controller complies with virtually all grid code regulations used around the world, including (but not limited to) IEEE 1547. VDE 4110/4105. EN50549-1/2 and ENA G99.
Protection and grid support features are included, giving you a “one controller fits all” solution.
Hybrid Applications
The AGC-4 Mk II is plug-and-play with DEIF’s ASC-4 Hybrid Controller, making it easy to integrate diesel genset applications into a wide range of hybrid power units.
The market-leading solution maximizes sustainable power penetration while always ensuring sufficient spinning reserves when photovoltaic (PV) production declines.
Intuitive external touch screen
You can choose from a number of different display and control options for the AGC-4 Mk II, ranging from an LCD display and buttons to a range of touchscreens, providing you with greatly improved overview and control options.
TDU – different sizes
Remote communication and control
The automatic genset controller AGC-4 Mk II supports serial communication protocols including Modbus (RS-485. USB and TCP/IP) and Profibus.
This feature allows you to monitor and control your genset/power plant from a remote location.
Provides backup power in less than 6 seconds, ideal for mission-critical applications
With its integrated pre-excitation closing (boost synchronization) function, the AGC-4 Mk II ensures that standby power is available in as little as 6 seconds.
Combined with the hot standby controller/dual redundancy option for all locations, the AGC-4 MK II is ideally suited for all types of mission-critical power applications such as data centers, hospitals, airports and fish farms.
N+X Redundancy
With the introduction of the N+X feature, the AGC-4 Mk II now offers enhanced security for critical power applications.
You can decide how many additional gensets should be run for a given load.
This also benefits the environment because you don’t have to run all the gensets – you can define how many additional gensets should be run, even if the load is dynamic.
Unique rental genset applications
The controller has been designed with ease of operation in mind. The automatic genset controller AGC-4 Mk II features up to four parameter settings that can be switched with a single touch of the touch screen.
You can easily set and lock parameters to ensure that your rental equipment is fully protected.
The AGC-4 Mk II includes the unique EasyConnect feature, which means the controller can automatically detect and calibrate all gensets.
The AGC-4 Mk II makes transformer maintenance easier and more flexible with remote maintenance boxes and multiple gensets without jeopardizing the power supply.
When performing transformer maintenance, the AGC-4 Mk II allows you to run 32 gensets of different types and sizes in parallel through power management, allowing you to use smaller gensets.
For example, Tier 4/Stage V gensets can handle larger transformers because up to 32 gensets can be applied.
System testing in a safe environment
DEIF’s simulation solutions come standard with the automated genset controller AGC-4 Mk II, enabling you to interact with the controller in a controlled and safe environment without damaging any equipment.
To perform a complete test of a power management system, all you need to do is turn on the controller and connect communications.
