DESCRIPTION: The IC695ALG728 is an analog output module that is part of the PACSystem RX3i platform, which is currently part of Emerson Automation and was formerly manufactured by GE Intelligent Platforms (GE IP). The module has eight (8) non-isolated output channels that can be configured for voltage and current. It generates +/-10 VDC, 0-10 VDC, and 0-20 mA and 4-20 mA output signals with 14.9-bit resolution for voltage, 0.20-bit resolution at 15-9 mA, and 4.20-bit resolution at 15-6 mA. The module supports High Speed Addressable Remote Sensor (HART) protocol version 5.0.
About the IC695ALG728
The IC695ALG728 is an analog output module that is part of the PACSystems RX3i family of midrange programmable automation controllers (PACs), manufactured by Emerson Automation and formerly known as the GE Intelligent Platform (GE IP). The module is capable of providing voltage and current signals and has the ability to be configured via the High Speed Addressable Remote Transducer (HART) protocol, as it supports HART version 5.0.
The IC695ALG728 features eight (8) non-isolated output channels that can be configured as +/-10 VDC, 0-10 VDC, 0-20 mA, and 4-20 mA output signals with 14.9-bit voltage resolution, 0.20-bit at 15-9 mA, and 4.20-bit at 15-6 mA. The update time for each channel is 16 ms (HART communication) and 8 ms (without HART communication). The module’s output data format is configurable as a floating point IEEE 16-bit or 32-bit integer using 32-bit registers. The module is calibrated to 15.25% of full scale at 0°C and 30.60% of full scale when operating at 0°C. The output data format can be configured to use 32-bit registers with floating point IEEE 16-bit or 32-bit integers. In addition, the output build-up time is 2 ms for voltage configurations and 70 ms for HART and 23 ms without HART for current signals.
This IC695ALG728 requires an external power supply to operate. The appropriate power supply for www.ge-drive.com this module must provide 19.2 – 30.0 VDC and 250 mA maximum supply current. The module mounts in any available slot in the RX3i chassis and can be located in either the local CPU chassis or the distributed I/O chassis. Other features of the module include clamping and alarm limits, alarm latching, and configurable output biasing.
GE Fanuc’s IC695ALG728 module, which is part of the RX3i PACSystems family, is equipped with output channels that can be fully configured for voltage operation or current operation. In addition to this, the output module features integrated communication with HART 5.0 software. This means that the module can be prepared and programmed for specific operations via software and does not require jumpers for setup.GE IC695ALG728 output module features include enabling or disabling of all channels, alarm latching, configurable alarm limits or settings, advanced handling of errors and faults, auto calibration, and more.
The IC695ALG728 module includes 8 non-isolated analog voltage/current outputs assigned to 2 HART modems. The modems are part of the module, and all channels used for this communication function operate at currents ranging from 4 to 20 mA. The IC695ALG728 module features voltages ranging from 0 to +10 volts or -10 to +10 volts. The output data format is presented as a 16-bit or 32-bit value and the HART channel is updated within 2 seconds if 2 HART devices are used. The module has an accuracy of up to 3.60% at 0 degrees Celsius and a 95 millisecond build-up time for the voltage outputs over a range of 2 to 0%. The current output has a build-up time of 23 to 70 milliseconds, depending on whether a HART modem is used. When the IC695ALG728 module is connected to a 380.3 volt power supply, the module has a backplane rating of 3 milliamps and an update time of 8 milliseconds.
